Do You Have Anxiety and Panic Attack DIsorder?

How do you know if you have this disorder? You can start by recognizing these symptoms of anxiety and panic disorder

  1. Your breathing is short
  2. Your heart races
  3. You feel like there is a huge knot in your chest
  4. Things seem like they are unreal
  5. You sweat and its not because you’re hot

I have actually been here. My chest felt like there was a huge knot in it and someone was pulling the two ends of the rope making it tighter and tighter. I acutally thought I was going to have a heart attack. I would get in my car to go somewhere. I would get about a mile away and turn back. I just could not go to the place I started out to.

So what do you do?

There are breathing techiques, but that didn’t work. You try to think of some good stuff and not the bad stuff. Yea right. That lasted about 10 seconds.

Okay, now the brain kicks in to its fight or flight mode. So instead of fighting, fleeing back to the confines and protection of the home wins out. So that means that I lose out. I just couldn’t go and do the things that I enjoyed doing with the people I liked being around. No one could believe that this was happening to me. Me, Mr. played all the sports jock tough guy.

How did I get through this and get back to who I was?

It wasn’t easy. I followed a program that helped me a great deal and actually cured me.
